A small collection of 14 'pointille' stamps in the style popular in France, and later England, in the middle of the 17th century. Four are modern, the remainder are all antique three of which are stamped Balle & Surrey (i.e. about 1850), one is stamped Dyer and another Knights and Cottrell. The largest measures 20mm by 18mm. All are set in wooden handles - two a little loose and a few lightly charred.
