The artist wove three different patterns withthe straw giving the box a rich visual texture A sliding bead which would hold the lid ontightly is missing on this piece. Thecord is held on the purse with six metal grommets. Painted scene of bonsai tree on oneside. Good condition... with some wear onthe lid and a crease on the interior liner. Paper label inside lid: Made in Japan. Measures 3-1/2” wide, 3-3/4’ high, and 2”deep.
