Antique Navajo Rug ( approx. 100 years? )Size is 41 x 51"As your good eye sees, this is a large early weaving with desirable red field. Although it is only missing tiny chunks of weave it is in need of TLC or pro restoration to protect the wept and warp (all red yarns making a fix easier) that has been compromised in a few areas.It is fragile in parts. Please study photos with zoom. this will need to go up on a wall carefully mounted on a backing or will need some material (large...ly red , from an old cutter rug? ) if it is to be strengthened up for a floor. It does not have large holes or bad tears, note a tiny stripe of black pattern snipped away, some misty pink tint and thready edgesA couple brownish drips don't show on the good side.
