This is a nice antique old Hugo Berger Goberg wrought iron metal art sculpture of a giraffe. The item is antique (see photos). The item is made of metal that has been hand wrought into the form of a giraffe. The giraffe is holding a cup for a candle, a matchbox holder and a basket type hanging portion that looks to be for matches or possibly an ashtray (see photos). The item has a nice Mission era Arts & Crafts style. The item has a hammered metal hand wrought look by a talented a...rtist (see photos). The item is from Germany and it is marked on the underside of the base for GOBERG by Hugo Berger (see photos). The item is German in origin (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). The item is great and of the many items I have seen by Goberg over the years I have not seen many as interesting as this. The item has some scuffs, there is a bend in the metal at the candlestick holder and it has some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). The item in total measures about 1 foot long. This is a a nice large antique Tramp Art pyrography chest for your collection.
