we are happy to accept payment by cheque, bank transfer or cash on collectiona rare and very nice liberty & co tudric art nouveau pewter and enamel candlestick, it is of super quality and would have been sold through the liberty & co store in londons regent street as part of their tudric range, there were several designers using this medium of design and decoration during this era, amongst those the most notable were, archibald knox, bernard cuzner, rex... silver, jessie m king, murrle bennett, charles horner and james fenton.it would have been produced by haselers of birmingham, these were the only silversmith making for libertys and produced the cymric silver ware range plus the tudric pewter range also, it is a very rare and desirable piece and fully marked and a well documented piece, the design number being 0223 dating it to c1903, the circular base (there is some evidence of a skilful old repair to the base see image 9 ) adorned with a stunning knox entrelac design which has absolutely no loss of definition and is factory fresh & crisp which are enhanced by three vitreous enamel roundels, rising from the base are three elegant finned legs supporting the bullet shaped sconce, add to this the mirror like finish and you have a stunning display piece, it is a large and impressive piece measuring 9" tall, it is well in excess of 100 years old and as such may have some very minor signs of age & use as befits a functional piece of domestic hardware, please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply within 24hours, this is a genuine piece and should not be mistaken for the unmarked copies and reproduction items offered on ebay.postage is by special delivery in the u.k and airsure or signed for to international destinations.
