The Rogerley Mine in Wearsdale, England produces some of the best fluorescing fluorite in the world. And, it is kind to shortwave ultraviolet light which not all fluorite is.
In daylight this plate of crystals also has the ability to fluoresce slightly from the ultraviolet light waves in the sun.
Pictures 1-2 were photographed under longtwave ultraviolet light; 3-4 under shortwave light; 5 under midwave.
LW fluorescence is by far the brightest but... SW and MW aren't wallflowers.
As I mentioned, fluorite from this locale just might produce the best shortwave fluorescence of all fluorites.
As with any fluorescent mineral, the more powerful the light source, the brighter the fluorescence. This piece would enhance most fluorescent displays.

The filter is the most expensive component of a lamp and for that price it will not be a quality filter - it will either permit too much visible light to pass through or not enough ultraviolet light. Either way you lose.4. Some items will only fluoresce under shortwave ultraviolet light. Others only under longwave.
