This auction is for a nice older US Navy ship lighter, thisone is for the Navy ship the USS Mount Vernon, LSD-39. The Mount Vernon was inservice from 1972 through 2003 and was a Dock Landing Ship of the AnchorageClass. The engraving and ship and ship’s emblem are engraved into the side ofthe lighter, the crest is not a separate enamel one. The lighter is standardsized, made by Zippo, and shows typical use and wear but is in nice conditionoverall. I have no idea if it works, ita...ppears to be in very nice condition and all complete so I suspect it wouldwork if you wanted to use it. It shows typical light wear and use. Not muchelse I guess I can say about it.
