Antique Victor Talking Machine Co. Phonograph/Record Player. Great
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:451211 | Country/Region of Manufacture: United States |
Featured Refinements: Victor Talking Machine | Brand: Victor |
I AM NOT AN EXPERT on these, and therefore cannot tell youwhat’s original, reproduction or has been replaced, etc. The only obviousreplacement (to me) is the apparent reproduction Victor Talking Machine Company badge(see photo). There are several original badges sold on eBay if that floats yourboat. It ...is sold “as is, ” and it’s up to the buyer to do research.
My limited research indicates the following:
As a general rule, external horn Victors were made between 1901 and 1920, with the vast majority produced between 1902-1913.Some external horn Victor phonographs used solid wood cabinets, which this item appears to have.
Please see numerous detailed photos. All I know is that itworks great and we’ve enjoyed it thoroughly over the last 15 years. Wonderfulmemories sitting by the fire during winter snow storms, sipping a glass of winewhile listening to ancient records from times past. Sigh.
Comes with extra steel needles.
It does not appear to have been restored, wearing a warm, honest patina.
Overall height (assembled) is approximately 33.5”. It willbe carefully disassembled and packaged for shipping. Given its dimensions, pleasenote shipping costs. The winning bidder is also welcome to pick it up, inperson, in Southwestern Connecticut (approximately 1 hour from New York City).
Please see my other auctions in the coming days for recordcollections for these wonderful machines.
Thanks!

As previously indicated, I am not an expert on these, I therefore can't confirm this, but wanted to share this with potential bidders given that I have 2 separate messages asserting the same thing.
