Here is a wonderful mid-century modern ceramic owl sculpture created by Jaru Art Products. He is attributed to 1974, and features a grey-taupe high glaze and brown accents. This sculpture has a stylized form with a long cylindrical body and oversized eyes. He stands 11" tall. Marked "Jaru' on his right side along the edge of the base.
Jaru Art Products was started in 1950 by Jack and Ruth Hirsh in Culver City, California.
This piece is in excellent minus condition, coming f...rom a smoke-free, pet-free environment -- no cracks or chips. Glaze and paint are very nice. He does have clear furniture protector dots on the base.
