Original Description:
This is a  Vintage Hand Carved, Hand painted, Wooden Figure of an OLD WOMAN With a BASKET, by NILS GUNNARSSON. Hand signed and dated, 1945,   by the Artist. She is carved in the Scandinavian Flat Plane style, which was popularized by the Trygg family. 

She is about 6 inches tall including base.  Her basket is a very special detail, especially how it is looped through her arm.  She is in very good, gently used condition.  

A nice addition to... a vintage Scandinavian Flat Plane sculpture collection.
