Silver Bowl Ottoman Islamic Bowl Dish Marked Izmir G star M Presented is a wonderful solidsilver Ottoman Era dish or bowl. I believe this piece is marked solid silvermade in Izmir Turkey c 1890 indicated by the mark on the bottom of GM with a starbetween the letters. I rest on four triangular detailed curled out legs withcherub faces peering out on each. It has no dents, dings or monogram and onlysome fine scratches from use and care with some hard to polish spots in thecrater lik...e shallow bowl.
