Vintage American Gas Machine Co. Model KL-2combination lantern and stove This fount of this lantern is steeland has no stress cracks. It has the original stamped KookLite globe. The globeis partially covered by a silver painted steel reflector that is fastened tothe frame base plate. A sliding door just inside the reflector covers the restof the globe for cooking or heating. The ventilator is also silver paintedsteel. A flat topped cap with openings that can be closed and opened has th...reeextensions to hold a cooking container on top of the ventilator. The globe hasa burn mark on one side from running the lantern with a hole in a mantle. Irecommend running the lantern/stove with a Coleman small bulge globe that willhopefully also allow smoother movement of the sliding door. A door in thecollar to light the lantern can be closed when the lantern is being used toheat or cook. I have run the lantern in the past. The generator is low withrespect to the mantle so the lantern may take a while to get fully bright. The lantern pumps up, holds pressure, blowsair through the generator orifice when the valve is opened, and stops blowingair when the tip cleaner is raised to clean the orifice.Age or estimated age? 65 years old Fuel type?
