Vintage Rare 1940's Occupied Japan Globe Calendar Table Lighter Red Bakelite
You are bidding on a 1940's Occupied Japan globe form table lighter with red enamel background behind the stars, chrome body and red bakelite base and dividers on the calendar.
It is in good condition with no major scratches, no breaks or signs of repair. It does have surface issues like pitting, as chrome... is prone to do, and probably decades of grime that I did not want to remove improperly, so I left it alone. Depressing the button does pop the lighter open, but there was no spark or light. I will leave getting it to operate to the high bidder.
There are cut out stars on the top in addition to the stars on the red enamel background.
It measures 4 1/2 inches tall and just under 2 inches across the base.
