PLEASE NOTE: We're getting near the end. After this week, I'll have only 3 more button groups to list ... 50 items for each of the next two weeks plus an additional 30 to 35 items I will list the first week of December. I've been selling my mom's collection over the past three years, and this is basically the last of her collection that I'll be listing for auction. So don't hold off to see what's coming next. I may find a few stragglers here and there, and I might break up a few of the... better full cards to sell some buttons individually, but these will be the last of the scheduled auction groups. I have tried to save some of the best for last, so I think most collectors will find something they like. (I will be continuing to list the 'buy-it-now' offerings going forward, until they are gone.) It has been a pleasure meeting and getting to know so many of you, and I greatly appreciate all who bid and have purchased buttons from us. My mom passed away in February of this year, but she would have been so happy to know that so many of her beloved buttons have gone to good homes, and that they will continue to be treasured and loved. Have a wonderful holiday season and good luck with your future collecting! **************************************************************************************** OK, now for the information for this listing: .................. Card of 29 of antique and vintage clothing buttons were produced in the shape of the Moon -- some in a crescent moon shape and some with Man-in-the-Moon facial features. These buttons are from various eras -- some were produced in the 1800s, some are from the early to mid 1900s, and a few may be more modern. The buttons are made of different materials, including: brass, wood, paste, black glass, stone, pearl, brass, steel, and other metals. A number of the buttons have OMEs / various embellishments. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+/Excellent..... Some of the buttons may have tarnished a bit with age, or have slight surface wear -- but I have noticed no cracks, dents, or other serious flaws. They are overall in very nice shape and the tray will display beautifully. See attached photos for more detail on the condition. ***************************************** PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage buttons. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with. So please use the attached images to form your own opinions. I am also not knowledgeable on the hobby criteria in condition grading -- so I use my condition grades in a commonsense manner -- as if grading any collectible -- they are not based on any hobby standards. Please contact me if you have specific questions, and I will answer them as best I can. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
