This Auction is for a large pair of solid Silver Candlesticks
Assay for Birmingham 1909
Makers: Clarke & Sewell, Birmingham
Nice pair of sticks that have been well used.
They present well but there are some dents to the bases of both sticks.
There is also a tiny hole to each base.
Odds specks of lead in places and the tops are also dented in places.
They measure 27 cm tall.
Aside from the above mentioned faults, they are actually a ni...ce pair.
They weigh 22 ounces.
The leaded bases have been removed and there is just a metal stem inside the body of each stick.
They are suitable for use or melting down for the scrap.
