This is a very cute clockwork dog. He looks to be a dachshund. He is covered in real hide and might be attributable to the French company Roullet et DeCamps, known for its clockwork toys.The dog is complete with both glass eyes, his tail, wheels on the bottom of each foot, a post for a key and an on-off lever. His hide is in very good condition with no significant holes or tears. He measures 11 inches long and almost 9 inches tall.When wound and the lever in the on position, the dog sh...ould move his legs making him “walk” using the wheels, and also swivel his head back and forth.Unfortunately, the dog’s clockwork is no longer working. I also don’t have a key to go with him.The dog could be restored into a highly desirable clockwork toy. Or he could be displayed as is.
