Rare Vintage MARX 3000Ride-on Locomotive EngineDeliciously Shabby As-Found Condition - Charming DisplayI believe this toy was sold in the 1940s and early '50s.Size (approximate):- 28" long x 7" wide x 11" tall Condition Details:- Deliciously shabby vintage condition. NOT restored, NOT repainted. - Lovely mid-century play wear and oxidation patina.- The emblem off the nose has gone missing.- There is a shallow dent on one side (see final photo) tha...t is noticeable on close examination.- ALL the wheels are there, and the steering mechanism turns, but not as freely as when it was new. The original pin that held the mechanism together (underneath) is missing and, in its place, is a very old finishing nail instead.AGAIN ... NOTHING HAS BEEN RESTORED. I've left it for you in lovely, as-found condition. Very charming to display.As with all my listings (unless explicitly stated otherwise), this comes from a NON-smoking environment.The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don't we all!?)
