Complete & Vintage 1943 Miles WAR Time Weather Calendar. Offered by Whites Drug Store, Leipsic Ohio. It features a cardboard header advertising the Calendar, Drugstore & Alka-Seltzer. There is a hole that you punch out to hang the calendar. The backside of the header has a wind chart. The most interesting part is a statement on the bottom of the calendar:
“ United States Government War and Navy Departments have requested that all weather predictions be withdrawn for th...e “ Duration Of the War” as they might be of service to the enemy. Therefore This calendar does not give any weather predictions”
There are different advertisement's on each page of the calendar. Please view photo's for examples.
Condition: The envelope has protected the calendar over the last 75 + years. But, there is browning on both the envelope and calendar. The envelopes are somewhat fragile and there can be minor tears. There is a crease in the calendar where it was folded to put in the envelope which can be pressed out. These are 75+ years old and lucky to have survived in this condition.
