A Fine and Rare Famille-verte 'Ladies' VaseShunzhi-Kangxi, Qing Dynasty, 17th Century
Finely shaped and potted vase in form of trumpet shape, divided in 4 layers, each layers are attached with other layers and also with other sides to be in form of square, famille-verte enamels were used to paint the decorations, each sides are depicting the scene of ladies walking and having conversation with each other, upper layer depicts birds and flowers on each side, e...ach side of the shoulder decorated with scholar objects, the mouth is widely everted from the shoulder, concave base with transparent glaze.
Size: Height 47.3 cm (Approximately 18.62 Inch.)
ProvenanceJapanese private collection and thence by descendants
Condition It is in overall excellent condition.Natural wears and scratches can be seen on the surface of the glaze and pigments.No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, and no restoration.
