THE HANDLE IS OF TWO PIECE RIBBED DARK WOOD, THE GUARD IS OF BRASS. BLADE IS STRONG AND WIDE, DOUBLE EDGE OF SPEAR-POINT. CONDITION IS FARE WITH MUCH PATINA AND AGE WEAR, BLADE AND HILT ARE TIGHT. LIKELY 1800s SOUTHERN STYLE, PROBABLY USED IN CIVIL WAR BY CONFEDERATE SOLDIER.
