ABOUT: Beautiful little antique Victorian French solid silver needle case with a lovely floral motif on both sides. Still a usable antique item with usefulness today! Beautiful textured background with crisp raised floral designs exuding Art Nouveau movement. Cartouche on each side is blank.NO MONOGRAMS on it.The piece measures about 2 1/2 inches in length.MARKS:Stamped twice with the boars head mark for French solid silver items on the inside lid (for the lid and for the b...ody of the case). Also has a maker's hallmark that looks like ARD.IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition. I see one nick to each cartouche, only noticeable because of the mirrored finish there. Along with some faint surface wear and scratches from use and polish over the years. A few areas of stubborn tarnish. The lid has tension to keep the two pieces together, and slides open and closed perfectly. But Please note that due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
