Vintage Black Lacquer Oriental Japan Wall Panel MOP Abalone Woman Floral. Measures 36" tall x 12" wide. Figures are made of mother of pearl and abalone with hand painting on woman's hair. This piece is in very good condition for its age. There appears to possibly be one area above woman and under mountains and boat that could have maybe had a figure of some type that is now gone, but not sure. If so, it does not interfere with the picture itself at all. There are a few places on the bl...ack lacquer frame that have some scuffing, see photos. This is a hard piece to get good photos of and if there are any specific areas you would like me to try to photograph better, please feel free to ask. I was born in 1956 and remember decor such as this as a child. This is a beautiful piece with great colors in the shells!
