Offered here is a very nice ANTIQUE STANLEY WOODWORKER'S JOINTER PLANE, NUMBER 7, WITH A CORRUGATED BOTTOM, TYPE 11 WITH THREE PATENT DATES LOCATED BEHIND THE FROG. This antique plane is in very good, clean condition. It measures 22 inches long and the iron is 2-1/2 inches wide. The black japanning has been mostly worn away, but the metal and surfaces of the tool are very good. The front knob is the low style and the rear tote is not cracked, but there is ...an old chip in the top edge, probably from a saw or chisel thrown in the tool box and striking the handle. The bottom surface is smooth with no chips or pitting on the surface. The original iron blade was worn to a nub and I found an older Stanley blade the right size to replace it. The blade had some pitting and there is still some left after the touch-up. This is the very desirable STANLEY TYPE 11 (1910-1918) model and it would look great fully restored. Or display it now in your ANTIQUE WOODWORKING-TOOL COLLECTION. This is a heavy tool. Winning bidder to pay FEDEX GROUND SHIPPING COSTS WHICH WILL INCLUDE DELIVERY CONFIRMATION-TRACKING AND FULL INSURANCE FOR A WORRY-FREE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY. Thank you for looking and good luck.
