Antique Indian Solid Silver Sugar Scoop Queens Pattern Hamilton & Co Calcutta
This interesting piece is an antique sugar scoop. The marks to the back are A and H.C. and an elephant belong to Hamilton & Co based in Calcutta, India. The piece would date to around 1880.
It is a beautiful piece and is in the Queens pattern. The end is engraved with ornate initials as shown.
There is no damage to the piece and no repairs. The long silversmith tooling marks to t...he scoop can be faintly seen.
The sugar scoop is 135mm long and weighs 40.1gms.
