A superb example of the world’s rarest and most desirable gem fossilplant. This Paleosmunda williamsii is an ancient member of theOsmundaceae fern family from the upper Permian age. Itcomes from Australia, found in the Walloon Coal Measures of the BlackwaterFormation in central Queensland. This slab is a superb example, as a display specimen or for gem lapidary work, showing wonderful agatizedeyes and swirls from the “heart” of the fern.
