Rare, vintage Presidential pattern made by Noritake China for Pan American World Airways, 1960s, lot of 7.5" salad plates with gilted gold eagle ringed by 13 stars and pale gray border, each piece marked with the color "Noritake China, Japan" wreath logo. Very nice condition, with no cracks or chips, the decoration remaining strong and fully intact, the surfaces retaining bright original gloss throughout.Evocative mementos from the Golden Age of luxe airline travel. Pan Am used a surpr...isingly large range of Presidential pieces for First Class service in the 1960s, together with complementary glassware, silverplate, and linens.
