These Thonet Bentwood chairs are as sturdy as the day they were made. Multi-ply formed maple, classic Thonet. As comfortable as they are beautiful this is a very rare offering of Thonet master-craftsmanship. It doesn't get much better than this for the Thonet fan. They are not without imperfection which frankly authenticates these wonderful vintage pieces. We have several of these. The pair you receive will be in as good or better condition as the pari photographed. Both the seat and c...hair-back display the classic and vintage Thonet firebrand seal. They would benefit from a thorough cleaning beyond the one we gave them prior to photographs. It would likely expose the brilliant luminescence of the maple ply. They spent their entire life here in Southern California where the low humidity, even temps and arid clime tend to be more forgiving to the woods of vintage and antique furniture compared to other regions of the country.

SHIPPING: These Thonets will be available for local pick-up but will also ship to anywhere in the contiguous 48 United States (No service to Hawaii or Alaska). Cost to ship is $120. If shipped, it will require the buyer to travel to the Greyhound Terminal close to their home (usually no further than 50 miles and often closer) to pick up the item. For an additional fee of between $55-$75 closed loop service directly to the buyer's home may be possible depending on the area and if Greyhound offers such service. Closed-loop service should be ordered by the buyer soon after purchase if such service is available, and any questions concerning closed-loop service should be made prior to bidding or purchase. Because of the exorbitant cost of shipping and handling, if this item is shipped there will be absolutely no provisions for return or refund.
