In 1971, the Marushka company began designing and printing their art prints in the Grand Haven/Spring Lake area on the shores of Lake Michigan. Robert Sweet, a high school art teacher, began screen printing some of his designs and eventually quit his teaching position to start the company.
This is one of his early prints signed "R. Sweet" so it was probably printed in the early days before "Marushka." Prints today a...re signed "Marushka" and not "R. Sweet."
The birds' bodies are padded giving the print a 3D look.Print measures 14" by 16". It is stretch over a wood frame. Sold as shown so study the pictures.
