This is for a lovely 1930s enamel tin sewing set fashioned as a miniature World globe and its in absolute pristine condition. The globe can be dated by the geography and although we have sold these globes with pencil sharpeners inside before, the sewing sets are far more harder to find and to find one as good as this is exceptional. The two halves pull apart and inside the base are the six wooden bobbins along with a central bobbin that pulls out and this has a chamber inside for ...holding needles. On top of this fits the brass thimble, all very compact and easy to transport. It is clearly marked 'Made in Germany' and it is in fabulous condition with no dents to it anywhere and all the markings on the globe are clear and not faded...even Antarctica, which is the base and very prone to wear. It measures 43mm (1.5) in diameter and stands 40mm (1.5") tall.
