Up for bid is this nice lot of rare benitoite crystals. Only the gem mine in California produced such beautiful and rare mineral species of this size. There is a total of 11 pieces with a combined weight of 8.9 carats. This lot consists of benitoite preforms that never made it to the final gem stage. The main reason being that they are not going to be loupe clean gems, there are inclusions and/or veils on them. Non...etheless, a nice parcel for a beginner gem cutter to play with.
