This is a wonderful antique desk chair! This beautiful golden oak chair has never been damaged or repaired and retains the original finish! The original spline cane seat was replaced with genuine burgundy leather years ago for comfort. The patented cast iron mechanism is in excellent working condition and is embossed with the initials of the manufacturer. The company was established in Michigan, then moved to Chicago and was incorporated in 1883. The chair has bent wood arms and ...tall arrow shaped splats in the back and is very comfortable. It will swivel and the height is adjustable. As I have it adjusted, the height is 48 1/2" tall and the seat height is 22" H x 18" W. Each arm is supported with two turned posts and a metal rod. The base has four curved legs with double steel rollers. If you have a great old oak roll top desk, you will want this chair! I sold my desk and no longer have a use for this chair which I enjoyed for many years!! This will have to be local pick up as I do not want to try to ship it!
