Continental style Antique Brass Monocular Microscope by R & J Beck. Retailed by Brady & Martin Newcastle-on-Tyne.
Solid Brass construction.
Swing-out Substage with iris. Plano/Concave double sided mirror on dovetailed slide
Vertical illuminator (parts missing)
2 x eyepieces. 4 x R & J Beck objectives in signed canisters.6mm, 12mm, 22mm, 40mm.
Original fitted mahogany case with lock. No key.
Condition; Cosmetically ok. Spotting to the ...lacquering (all over). Main focus operation is 'notchy' with some wear to the rack.Optics are acceptable for age.
Microscope measures 12 inches high, in its working position.Case measures 12 x 7 x 5 Inches. Splits in door.
