Tinned Copperware 18” Oval pan. This obviously French Company was founded in New York City in 1852 and had branches in Boston and Chicago as well. The former Wooster Street address is now part of the trendy shopping district of SoHo in lower Manhattan. Duparquet, Huot & Moneuse Co. registered for patents for tinned... coffee pots in 1869. The company manufactured stoves, kitchen appliances and cookware for restaurants, hotels, steamships and private homes. After a long 84 year run the company finally went bankrupt in 1936. This antique Duparquet, Muot and Moneuse Co. tinned copperware oval pan is an exceptional piece for the gourmand or a lovely décor piece alike. Pre-owned yet in good condition, no damages nor repairs, there’s a portion of the rim that could be tapped back into ‘round’ or ‘oval’ as the case is. It’s quite obvious that this piece requires re-tinning if it were actually called back into service as cookware. Substantial for its size and constructed of heavy gauge copper, this pan possesses the weight that bespeaks quality. One heavy brass ring is attached to the vessel with two thick copper rivets.
