ANTIQUE AFRICAN CEREMONIAL CHIEF SWORD WEAPON Large Heavy is a great item! It is an antique African Chiefs Sword or weapon. This is a type that would have been carried by a Chief or high ranking Tribal warrior. This is hand forged all in one piece. Camel Head with eye Pommel. Straight edge is fairly sharp all the way from Cross Guard to tip of blade. Curved sickle crescents were bevelled for damaging action. Weighs about 2 - 3 pounds.Overall length is 25 1/2 inches. Hilt and grip... are 7 1/2 inches long. Blade is 18 inches in length. It is 1/4" to 5/8" in thickness overall. Made of Non Magnetic iron or Steel. Condition is excellent. Some scratches and discoloration. I believe this dates to the 18-19th century, but not positive. Very Well made weapon.
