Original Description:
A very fine pair of decorative brass stamps in a style found on English bindings of the second half of the 17th century. The shanks are stamped BALLE SURREY & Co., a maker active in London around 1855. The faces of the tools measure 18mm by 14mm and show very little wear and no damage. Set in original wooden handles with no cracks or charring.
