Antique Vintage Kewpie Doll by Rose O'Neil made early 1900 USAThis Kewpie Doll was made between 1916-1930. My best guest is that this doll was made in the early 20'S. Rose O'Neil is the creator of this character. Kewpie which came from Ms. O'Neil's series of very popular cartoons and stories that she began drawing and writing in 1909. The doll is made of a composition material and made in the USA. This American version has a heart shaped decal on her chest reading "K...ewpies, des. & copyright by Rose O'Neill." This one has jointed arms and the cutest Angel Wings on her back. This Kewpie stands 11" tall. She does show ware and some crazing in areas on her finish which is normal for her age, you can see this in the photos. She could be professionally cleaned. The important colors of eyes, wings, lips, decal and eyebrows are still quite bright. I think she looks pretty good for being 100 years old. Thank you for taking a look
