Original Description:

I CAN'T LOCATE ANY OTHER COPIES outside of digital library collections. This was a brochure that was distributed by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad at their exhibit at the Rochester NY Centennial Exhibition in 1934. The exhibition was at Edgerton Park.

Description: Rare 1934 'Exhibits of The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad' Brochure from the Rochester NY Centennial Exhibition that occurred from August 11 - September 9, 1934. It contains 16 pages (including the cover sides) bo...und with two staples in illustrated white soft covers. The front cover illustration shows a Capitol Limited Train (operated by B&O) that is speeding away from the US Capitol Building in Washington DC. The back cover contains a logo/seal of the Capitol Building with text 'East And West Via Washington' and a 'Baltimore & Ohio R.R.' text banner.

This brochure/booklet contains a history of the B&O Railroad as well as the railroads historical relationship with the City of Rochester, New York. There is also a list of B&O facts and a statement of their policy. The text is supplemented with many photos & illustrations. There is even a two-page Map showing the B&O Railroad System by Redfield-Downey-Odell Co. of NY.

The Foreword says in part, "The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad congratulates the City of Rochester on the attainment of its Centenary... While for long having pleasant relations with the City of Rochester, with the acquisition of the Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh Railway, the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company came to have a direct part in the City's life. It has a large investment within its environs, embracing the Genesee dock and yards, Charlotte coal docks, Lincoln Park yard, large Oak Street freight station, passenger station on West Main Street, warehouse on King Street and general office building, the Railroad naturally wants to share in the City's celebrations of its one hundredth Anniversary.".

The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O, or BO) first established in 1827, was America's First Railroad. The first section opened in 1830. It eventually linked many cities in the American North East & Mid West. It ran through New York, Washington DC, Baltimore, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago, Cleveland, Buffalo and ultimately up to Rochester NY (as shown on the map).

Shipped FREE via USPS with appropriate care... Thank YOU!

Payment
I have had to take precautions because of people not paying. You will have 4 days to pay, then an unpaid item case will be opened. From this point you will have another 4 days to pay. That's EIGHT total days, however if you don't pay the case will close and show on your Ebay record. At this time the item will be offered to the next highest bidder or re-listed. A case HAS to be opened to recoup selling fees.

Shipping
I only ship within the US or to eligible Countries through the Ebay Global shipping program (however I don't use this for all items). If it doesn't say I ship to your Country in shipping details, then I won't, no exceptions, sorry. The shipping service will depend on the buyers location and the package weight. I predominantly use Priority Mail unless an item qualifies for First Class, however I will use Parcel Select in some instances particularly if you live out West. I am not a business and I reuse boxes and packaging so my packages aren't always the prettiest, but I do spend a lot of time and effort in ensuring items are packed with care, handled fast and shipped using an expedited service whenever possible.

Bids/Offers
I will NOT end items early via accepting a buy it now price or even respond to people offering amounts in exchange for me ending the item early. If I am selling an item via auction it will not end prematurely unless I made a mistake in the listing or the item was lost/broken. Please keep in mind I like to use free shipping and shipping prices fluctuate quite a bit. This is a consideration during offers. I may sell an item cheaper to someone closer to me opposed to someone bidding out West because the shipping may be a lot cheaper.

Returns/Refunds
I offer returns on all items except for items that are being sold broken for parts/fix. You will have 14 days from the time you receive it to return it, no questions asked. If you simply don't like it or it doesn't fit then you are accountable for the return shipping. If i make an error in the listing (and I will from time to time) then I will pay for the shipping back to me. I will make mistakes. However, threatening to escalate cases etc. won't make the process any more enjoyable. I have been accused of all sorts of things while selling on this platform, but when I make a mistake in a listing or an item doesn't function properly YOU WILL BE FULLY REFUNDED and I will lose money on shipping to and fro.  Just return the item, I will refund you every time. I didn't get good feedback by deceiving people on purpose or taking short cuts

Feedback
I generally leave feedback AFTER the buyer. This is just a little extra confirmation that you received the item and you're happy with it. Regardless, many people still don't leave feedback but after a period of time (enough time where I can assume the item isn't getting returned) I will leave positive feedback whether you have or not.

I am not a business, but an individual who enjoys selling on Ebay very much. This is not my occupation, more a hobby. I source items from all over. Estate sales, garage sales, liquidations, auctions, consignments for friends. I do my best to keep buyers happy and them bidding risk free. If I make a mistake I will go out of my way to make things right and I believe my feedback is a testament to that. THANK YOU!
