For Sale: Vintage Menu from Northwest Orient Airlines 1958. 6" x 8-1/2" menu opens up to double the size with printing on four sides featuring a 5" x 7-1/2" photograph of the Tiger Balm Gardens, Hong Kong. Inside the folded menu is a brief description of Tiger Balm Gardens. Also inside the menu is a description of "Imperial Service" (First Class) that travelers receive when flying on this airlines which includes "America's most comfortable ride with unmatched contine...ntal cuisine and complimentary champagne. Also mentioned is the plane being equipped with Twin-Screen weather avoidance radar that enables the pilot to see the weather ahead as much as 150 miles giving an advanced look so he can fly the best course to give a smoother flight.Menu includes Dry Imperator Champagne, Fresh Shrimp Cocktail, Crisp Wafers. Broiled Filet Mignon, Baked stuffed potato, glazed carrots, Crescent roll, tossed salad and New York Ice Cream with crushed strawberries and Chocolate mint.Menu is printed on card stock. Menu is a postcard printed for mailing. The menu has some age discoloration around the edges and some surface wear including some light random marks on the postcard where it is addressed, also a dark line marked on the outside.Please examine and enlarge the photos above.Thanks for looking :)
