This is a Chinese porcelain armorial charger decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a gold, red and black family crest to the centre and a crown on the rim. The family crest features two rampant lions supporting a shield, a crown above and a motto below 'Le bon temps viendra' (the good times will come) surrounded by a border of flower sprays in underglaze blue. A crosshatch diaper border with floral reserves to the cavetto, floral sprays to the rim and a crosshatch diaper border to ...the outer rim. To the reverse are four single flowers.
