Lot of 3 Vintage Halloween Rosbro Hard Plastic Candy/Sucker Holders/Containers Decorations/Figures. Orange and black. A Witch carrying a Jack-o'-Lantern, a Cat with a JOL on its back, a Scarecrow JOL Pumpkin Head Man wearing a Checkered Jacket. All made in the 1950s.
This is a Three-Day Auction for 3 (three) vintage hard-plastic 1950s Halloween collectibles. The witch and cat are marked "Rosbro Plastics, Prov., R.I." The scarecrow is unmarked, but was also made by t...hat Providence, Rhode Island, company.
Please see the photos. All three pieces have well-placed color/paint. The white areas are glare, not white color on the pieces (the glare makes it look like the cat's whiskers are white; they are black like the rest of the plastic). There are no chips, cracks or seam splits. If there is any color wear, it is extremely minor. The only condition issue is the mostly missing stem on the scarecrow's head. All three candy holders are original, not reproductions.
1. Scarecrow Jack-o'-Lantern Pumpkin Head Man Measures just over 4.75" H x 4" W. Most of his stem top is long gone, so he originally measured a bit taller.
2. Black Cat with Jack-o'-Lantern Measures 2.75" H x 3.5" W. The orange paint color is a bit dull/light; this seems original, not something that happened over time.
3. Witch with Jack-o'-Lantern Measures 4" H x 2.75" W.
I will combine shipping costs on multiple purchases. All items will be packaged securely, are final sale and cannot be returned. They will be mailed via the U.S. Postal Service with insurance and tracking included in the shipping cost.
