Henry Disston & Sons, Philada Style Medallion. After reviewing the Disstonian Institude web site, and based on the medallion (13/16" dia), I would estimate this saw to be circa 1878-1888. Please review the photos carefully and you can be the final judge. This is an 18" long, 9 PPI panel saw, filed cross-cut. It is untouched and as I found it. The etchings are quite clear and well defined. There is a small bend at the end of the saw plate. Apparen...tly the bottom part of the handle broke off and someone attempted a repair with a brass plate. One of the brass bolts appears to have been damaged by grinding. Overall a very nice saw, and the plate is in especially good condition, no pitting, minor staining. Replace the handle, sharpen the plate and you will have a $200+ valued saw.
