Offering a rare 1930's SHURE Model 5 Carbon Double-Button Ring Spring Suspension Microphone. These carbon microphones represent some of the earliest forms of voice capture and transmission. Thisone is all original, with the Shure pickup element suspended by 8 springsanchored to the ring which acted as a crude shock/vibration absorber, andcomes with a nice vintage art-deco 3 tier "waterfall design"desk stand with heavy cast iron base and nickel chromed... riser. The nickelcoated ring measures 5.5" in diameter, and the mic with stand measures12" in total height.
