You are probablyfamiliar with Mr. Wolfe’s rare RUBBER TUBE TURKEY CALLS WITH CAMOFLAUGE TAPE, but this auction is for a rarer, vintage GILBERT “RED” WOLFE WILD TURKEY YELPERTUBE TURKEY CALL. “Red” produced veryfew of these plastic tube calls. Thecall comes with its instructions, lanyard and pill bottle container. His calls are rated by the re-known turkeycall expert, Earl Mickel, in his first book– TURKEY CALLMAKERS PAST &PRESENT, MICK’S PICK...S - STORIES AND HISTORY OF CALLMAKERS. Mr. Wolfe was a fine call maker from NewCumberland, PA, who started making turkey call in the early 1970’s. Mr. Wolfe passed away in 1988.
This call is in usedcondition with the latex and was placed in my collection immediately uponpurchase. It will be a valued additionto any call collector or make reliable call for the long-beard.
