This drill bit holder or case is by the "Morse Twist Drill & Machine Co." and has the manufacturers details as well as the patent date "June 24, 1902" impressed in to the brass top.The metal top has lost much of its' plated finish over the years, however, the lettering and drill sizes around the rim and on top are still clear and legible.There is a small split to the brass to the rim, but it does feel solid and sturdy.The top revolves smoothly.The case is, I believe, rosewood, there a...re no splits or cracks to the wood and it has gained a fabulous depth of colour and patina over the years, however, there are chips, marks, scratches and scuffs that you would expect.The condition is everything that you would expect from a well used item of this age.I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.It measures 18 cm (7 inches) high and is 9.5 cm (3 3/4 inches) across the top. Drill Bit Holder.This drill bit holder or case is by the "Morse Twist Drill & Machine Co." and has the manufacturers details as well as the patent date "June 24, 1902" impressed in to the brass top.
The metal top has lost much of its' plated finish over the years, however, the lettering and drill sizes around the rim and on top are still clear and legible.
