You are bidding on a completely gutted and modified Philco SA-1005 amp from 1960. This was only available in 1960 and was originally an external amp/speaker for television sets. I turned this rare piece into a cool, one of a kind practice/recording amp. The amp was changed into the Gibson KEA circuit with separate treble/bass controls. I also put a vintage alnico Cletron 6x9 with new baffle in place of the small stock speakers. I would put this in the 5 watt range and it soun...ds more like a Fender 5C1 champ than a 5F1. I changed the RCA input cord into standeard jack on top of amp. 3 prong power cord and fuse added for safety. Nice vintage tubes-unknown 6AU6, two black plate RCA 6AQ5As and Philco 6X4. All test good on my Hickok 6000A and 6AQ5As perfectly matched in circuit. Shipping is $30 for UPS ground to lower 48. Willing to ship international, but please email me for a quote before bidding, ebay shipping calculator isn't always right. Money must be received within 3 days. See my other auctions for more vintage tube gear. If you need any repair work done on any vintage tube amps, feel free to contact me.
