This auction is for a vintage Bounty Hunter Automatic 840 metal detector. It is in very good
cosmetic condition but has a problem. The detector takes two 9-Volt batteries but when the
"battery test" switch is moved to one battery's position, the meter's needle doesn't give a
reading. I did find a couple times that while setting there for awhile with the power switch on,
the unit worked. But most of the time, it doesn't seem to be receiving power from one of the
...;batteries. I just don't have the time to take it apart and look for the problem, so it's being sold
"as-is."
