This is a rare 22" x 28" poster (marked as 51/484 at bottom right?) of Jean Renoir (and Rumer Godden's) film The River, based on Godden's famous novel. Poster depicts images of 1950s India and the film's major characters at critical moments in the plot.
The photos best show this poster's vivid mid-century colors and very good condition--please note that the shadow at the bottom of some pictures is of me while photographing it, not a discoloration in the poster. :)
The poste...r is in very good condition, with only a single pin hole in corners, a small torn flap area in the top ridge (see close-up photo for flap in place), and a missing tooth-shaped tear in the bottom right edge. The poster was originally folded, and the bottom back right of the poster is also embossed with wording that I cannot read. Poster has printed text in both lower corners; see photos.
Poster will ship in a protective sleeve and rolled loosely but securely in a wide shipping tube.
