All of my camera equipment wastreated with great respect, and this lens is no exception. Very little visiblewear, and to my eye the glass and coating is still superb. Focus and aperture actions aresilky smooth and feel high quali...ty and as new. This is an enthusiast owned lens, never used in poor weather, always put away properly when not in use. This lens has been carefullystored unused for several decades from the days when we had a mix of Leica, Alpa and Exacta, the beautiful Retrofocus Type R1.The Alpas and Exactas havemoved on, so there is no point in keeping this lens (although it was tempting, as it just feelsspecial to hold it). I am confident this was mounted on one of my Exactas (but look atthe photos and video to satisfy yourself that this is indeed an Exacta mount, and not Alpa!). The lens comes with a back cap, however the original lens caphas gone astray.
I hope this lens finds an enthusiast home, such a wonderful lens like this deserves to capture images once again.

On 03-Feb-21 at 22:59:07 EST, seller added the following information:NOTE: After the listing was active I was asked by an eBay user if I could examine the lens for any possible issues with internal dust or fungus. In my attempts to reveal any possible concerns I placed my iPhone at the mount end of the lens as a light source, and observed from the other end of the lens as I moved the light source to various positions. I have taken a photo of what I was able to observe and added this to the listing. I lack the expertise to confidently comment on what was observed, but have included the image to hopefully help guide you. On 04-Feb-21 at 19:31:50 EST, seller added the following information:Starting bid now dropped from $750 to $600 due to what I have been told is the potential slight fungus, dust, or even oil on the aperture blades. Please keep this in mind, and place your bid accordingly. Sold as is.
