For sale is a Canon FTb 35mm SLR camera. The FTb was released in 1971 alongside the new F1, and offered photographers an excellent camera for a lower price than the F1. The FTb features a fully mechanical shutter, and can be operated without a battery. The FTb features a built in light meter with a match needle system in the viewfinder, which is intuitive an easy to use. The FTb featurs the Canon FD mount, and it will accept all FD lenses. FD lenses are professional quality optics, the...y were made in large variety of focal lengths, and are inexpensive.
This Canon is in very good condition, the body has no dents or damage, there are minor marks and scratches from use. The viewfinder, prism, and focusing screen are clean and clear, the shutter fires properly at all speeds, the light meter works, the light seals have been replaced using the original material. The Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens has no fungus or scratches, there is some faint haze which does not affect the photos. A new battery will be included.
