Up for sale is a great serviced and fully working example of the classic Kodak Retina IIa 35mm camera, manufactured between 1951 and 1954 for Kodak in Germany by the former Nagel Werk of Stuttgart.
This lovely chromed brass, fixed-lens rangefinder features the excellent Schneider Kreuznach 50mm f/2 Retina-Xenon lens, with close focus to 2.5ft and Kodak Synchro-Compur leaf shutter with shutter speeds from 1 to 1/500 sec as well as bulb operation.
This lens is in very nice vint...age condition with attractive patina and brassing as well as an intact 1958 service sticker.
This item has been serviced with cleaning/relube/adjustment of the lens, shutter, advance, and rangefinder mechanisms with the goal of keeping its vintage appearance and patina intact. Lens is clean and clear, all shutter speeds are accurate, and rangefinder is clear and accurate.
A great example of this camera who wants a nice vintage piece that is actually fully usable right out of the box!
